NEE announces tender for conducting study visit to Ukraine within its "Partnerships for Better Energy Use" project

NEE announces a tender for conducting a study visit to Ukraine to explore best international practices in participatory energy management at the local level.

The study visit will be held within the "Partherships for Better Energy Use" project implemented as part of the EU's Non-State Actors and Local Authorities in Development program. The project is supported by the European Commission and Eurasia Foundation (with funding from the U.S. Agency for International Development).

The study visit will be organized in the form of a five-day study tour for 10 Belarusian participants including ecology and sustainable development experts from local NGOs, local community activists, lower-level administrative officials responsible for energy use at the local and district level and administrators of social institutions. The detailed scope of work can be found here in Russian or English.

Timeframe: February 2012.

A study visit organizer will be selected through an independent review process based on the following selection criteria:

- meeting the study tour's aims and objectives;
- cost-effectiveness of the proposal;
- experience in implementation of projects funded by EU and/or Eurasia/East Europe Foundation will be an asset.

To take part in the tender, candidates should submit the description of the study visit structure (by template in Russian OR English), budget justification (by template in Russian OR English) and copy of the organization's certificate of state registration. Deadline for submission: 16 January, 2012.

The documents should be sent in English in scanned versions by e-mail to Volha Kananovich, program manager (vkananovich@eurasia.by), and Tatsiana Teslionok, finance manager (tania@eurasia.by), or by fax at (+37517) 2269095.
